But routing and how something actually gets sent are logically separate 
things. Routing doesn't care how something gets sent, only that it will be 
sent.

The read_pcre option would be good in a situation where one has a server that 
has all newsgroups, including binaries, but is on the slow side, making it 
acceptable for getting text-only newsgroups but not binary ones.

However, I can't see what the active_pcre option would be for.

The defaulkt should be just as it is now - if a server will accept a post it 
disappears from out.going and th eposting loop for the next server(s) never 
sees it. Why make that different?
