[leafnode-list] Two types of news server

I was just cleaning out some old postings, and noticed one for Cnews.

The reader service mentioned in the Wikipedia article seems to be a
search engine for finding existing posts, not for reading current
traffic. If I understand it correctly, that is not what leafnode is
for. Leafnode reads NNTP servers. For a "news aggregator", an RSS
client seems more appropriate.

I was using Leafnode when NNTP news groups were
common. Nowadays, many groups have moved to social channels, leaving
only one NNTP group that I read regularly. I read that with
Thunderbird, but Leafnode seems to be slightly "overkill."
