$LIBDIR/groupinfo is apparently the location before leafnode-1.6, and  
that's way old. I wonder if keeping all this "make update" in leafnode 1  
is worthwhile, but then again I promised compatibility, so I cannot  
deliberately removed this.

groupinfo isn't that precious anyways, leafnode 2 is pretty good at  
recovering it. Run texpire -r, run fetchnews -f, and move on.
