For the newer leafnode 1 versions, posts appear in your groups only
after they have been (a) posted, (b) fetched from the upstream server.
Meaning that you must run fetchnews twice before you see the posts.

Other than that, if the server that leafnode is posting to has the
groups configured as "no-post", the messages would end up in
failed.postings; or if the groups are moderated, the server would
forward them to the moderator, so you'll only see those (in moderated
groups) after they have been approved of and reposted by the moderator.
