I've checked news.free.fr which is OK.

Oct 29 03:46 was 46 mins after the time zone change from UTC+02:00
(CEST) back to UTC+01:00 (CET) -- servers and client are supposed to
talk UTC, so these should be immune to DST hicc-ups.

If the server had a problem with end of DST and was since fixed manually
or your computer didn't switch back to CET (from CEST) properly, this
would explain the issues.

I just checked my log files, no such log lines here.
