Amedee,
it is good to know you solved the problem and got a usable leafnode for
yourself.
Unfortunately, you encountered a bug that I'd like to fix, but your
installing leafnode-1 instead of leafnode-2 prevents my knowing
sufficient detail. For people who hit such glibc invalid free() calls,
"env MALLOC_CHECK_=0 fetchnews -vvv" may be able to keep the program
going.
For reporting problems, please try to obtain English error messages:
"env LC_ALL=C fetchnews -vvv" would do that. I can read Dutch a tiny bit
(goed genoeg om 'geannuleerd' te verstaan), but others on the lists may
not be able to.
In case this glibc detected abort happens again for anyone with the latest
leafnode-2 version, please see the Leafnode-1 FAQ for how to obtain a
stack backtrace and send me the backtrace (without MALLOC_CHECK_=0 set).
(You may need to recompile leafnode with debugging enabled.)

That is the current server for the content, but please bookmark
<http://home.pages.de/~mandree/leafnode/beta/> instead as I may move
the content elsewhere in the future.
