The message in question is logged at "LOG_INFO" severity, that's why
it's in none of your three news/news.* files.

On SUSE, "news" facility isn't logged into /var/log/syslog, that's why
I've never seen it.

Is it OK for you to modify syslog.conf to only route news.warning
(rather than news.info, news.debug or news.*) into syslog? After all,
you have these separate news.* files for the other stuff.

I might want to demote this to a debug message for 1.11.5, but it's a
long way until then if nothing else shows up.
